Stop to smell the horses!

Stop to smell the horses! You read that correctly. I’ve tweaked the old cliché because it suits one of my most recent experiences. The other day, I had the opportunity to show clients a gorgeous 40 acre property with a beautiful log home, over 25 boarded horses, and top-of-the-line equestrian facilities. Afterward, I made a phone call to Chris and asked “hey, do you want to buy a horse property, I’ve found the perfect place.” Other than our occasional horse back ride, neither Chris nor I know anything about boarding & caring for horses, but this beautiful property definitely sparked something in me. While I love the energy of the city, I was certainly energized by the surrounding mountains and remarkable animals twice my size.

My real point here is that working in real estate in Colorado is one of my dreams coming true. I feel so fortunate to be living in this incredible state, and much more than that, I love helping others do the same. It doesn’t matter what the doom and gloomers say, this market has been good to me. I’m truly grateful for your business, trust and support. I get the opportunity to view incredible properties everyday, help people get top dollar for one of their largest investments, help them see a dream of their own come true, start new beginnings, and even if it’s only occasionally, I get to stop and smell the horses.

Enjoy your day. Please know that I welcome a chance to help if you or anyone you know needs to buy or sell real estate or has any questions.

P.S. We won’t be buying a horse property anytime soon; this city girl still likes to have her choice of coffee shops on every corner!

First Annual Puttin' Pub Crawl

On Saturday, August 18th, 2007, Loft 22 put together a terrific event in downtown Denver called the Puttin' Pub Crawl. It was a blast and the best part is that it benefited Freedom Service Dogs.

Our team was called the Fore! Skins! The Puttin’ Pub Crawl consisted of 9 holes in 9 bars all over LoDo. We started at 12:30 p.m. and ended about 8:00 p.m.

Freedom Service Dogs is a Denver non-profit organization that rescues unwanted dogs from local shelters and trains them to assist people with disabilities in the Colorado area. The Loft 22 Puttin' Pub Crawl event was designed to raise awareness and money for this organization, and a large portion of the entrance fees from each team were donated to Freedom Service Dogs. Denver's Child and Youth Friendly City (CYFC) Initiative needs your help. You can be a part of this awesome investment in the future of Denver -

Our young people are pivotal in helping to propel our city forward in growth and character. As a volunteer with Denver’s Child and Youth Friendly City Initiative, I've met some very impressive youth and it thrills me that our city looks to the future and values our youth. The CYFC initiative is a coalition of public and private organizations and individuals dedicated to ensuring young people have a voice and are decision makers in their communities and in Denver. The Initiative also works to strengthen people and places that make children and youth feel recognized and valued in Denver; and ensuring that the city supports the healthy development of all children and youth.
